In 2016, Carla J. Lundblade, MS, LPC, NCC, Nationally Certified and Oregon-Licensed Clinical Therapist, Trauma Expert, Individual, Child, and Family Therapist, conducted a candid interview about successful firefighter PTS treatment with Steve DeMartin, Fire Captain, 32 Years of Service, Sacramento, California. Their video went viral and was later endorsed by the City of Sacramento, which utilizeds it as mandatory annual training for all fire and first responder personnel. Steve DeMartin later stated in May 2019, “In yet another success story, I recently ran into a bunch of firefighters from other departments. One firefighter pulled me aside and said that our video has changed the lives of at least 10 firefighters he knows. We talked at length about awareness and how it benefitsed people in the business.
