“Carla,

What you’re doing for first responders and our troops is truly honorable, inspirational, and downright heroic. You could have seen PTSD/PTSI as this one very difficult and often tabu subject and chosen to sweep it aside like so many others have done. If you had, no one would have thought any less of you; however, I want you to know that I have nothing but respect for you for creating this PTSD/PTSI program.

If no one from the military side of the house has said it yet, then allow me. Thank you, sincerely, for all that you have and are continuing to do, to help shine a light on PTSD/PTSI and depression. You are helping people see it’s treatable and that it doesn’t mean you’re crazy if you have it. Thank you for helping those who suffer in silence, many of us who have suffered for so long, to see that it’s OK to speak up, come forward, and get help…and to know that we’re not alone.

Keep up the great work!”
